Damilola Ajegbomogun

Damilola Samuel Ajegbomogun is a Nigerian artist whose work explores duality, emotion, and the shifting nature of human experience. Working primarily with oil on canvas, he uses colour, texture, and expressive brushwork to navigate the space between opposites, from silence and expression to creation and erasure. His practice reflects an ongoing search for meaning, where each painting becomes a site of reflection rather than resolution. Rooted in an interest in human feeling and perception, his work invites open interpretation, allowing viewers to connect through their own experiences. Through a balance of instinct and intention, Ajegbomogun creates paintings that sit between abstraction and figuration, capturing moments of tension, change, and becoming.
