Michael Fiscian

Michael Fiscian is a Ghanaian painter born and raised in Accra, whose practice was shaped by his studies in graphic, portrait, and figurative painting at Ghanata College of Art and Design. Working with acrylic and newspaper collage on canvas, he incorporates cut newspaper as a material that carries real voices and stories, a tradition rooted in his grandmother's life as a newspaper seller. His work centres on the expressive power of women, capturing joy, strength, worry, and peace through facial expression and body language. Each painting reflects a deep fascination with the way emotion communicates itself without words.
