Zanele Montle
Zanele Montle, is a South African artist from Kwa Zulu Natal. Her paintings highlight everyday life activities in vivid acrylics, probing questions of Black identity and community. Influenced by personal experiences of migration and adaptation, Montle’s work draws on family photographs and her Zulu heritage, reflecting a deep engagement with memory and belonging. Incorporating diverse media and design elements, her evolving practice bridges traditional and contemporary narratives. Through bold colours and a dynamic visual language, Montle’s art encourages viewers to reconsider notions of home, identity, and cultural continuity.
