About the event
Titled after Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani’s novel, the exhibition unfolds across three rooms, including a re-creation of Boafo’s childhood courtyard in Ghana. With works painted using his fingertips, Boafo celebrates the Black figure with honesty and joy, challenging stereotypes and reimagining personal and collective histories. Collaborating with designer Glenn DeRoche, the show blends painting, architecture, and storytelling, inviting viewers into a space where art, memory, and community converge.
