About the event

Free Admission.

Incantations positions painting and photography as spells that draw on forces of hunger, chaos, seduction, and destruction. The works oscillate between individual and communal experience, probing the unconscious and the fragile interplay between instinct and learned behaviour.

Hwami’s practice moves between private memory and collective histories, creating layered narratives that resonate with themes of fragmentation, resilience, and renewal. Her works reveal intimate worlds full of secrets and wounds while offering space for transformation and self-discovery.
