About the event

Featuring painting, ceramics, murals and sound, Yearwood-Dan’s work draws on personal and collective histories through botanical forms, diaristic text and subversive materials like glitter, sequins and gold leaf. Her large-scale compositions and sculptural benches invite viewers into lush, abstract environments of healing and abundance. Titled after Toni Morrison’s call to action in The Nation, the exhibition embodies a space of resistance through beauty, offering no room for despair, only possibility.
