Featuring artists from the African diaspora, including Michael Armitage, Lubaina Himid, Kerry James Marshall, Toyin Ojih Odutola, and Amy Sherald, the showcase delves into the richness and complexity of Black life, addressing both its presence and absence in Western art history. Renowned artists such as Njideka Akunyili Crosby, Hurvin Anderson, Jordan Casteel contribute to this significant exploration.
